1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Ekwandeni Guest House website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Bookings & Reservations

• All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Ekwandeni Guest House.
• A booking request does not guarantee a reservation until you receive a confirmation email from us.
• You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when making a booking.
• Guests must create an account and sign in to submit a booking request.

3. Check-in & Check-out

• Check-in is from 14:00 onwards.
• Check-out is by 10:00.
• Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
• Valid identification is required at check-in.

4. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 7 or more days before the check-in date: no charge.
• Cancellations made 3 to 6 days before the check-in date: 50% of the total booking value may be charged.
• Cancellations made less than 3 days before the check-in date or no-shows: 100% of the total booking value may be charged.
• Ekwandeni Guest House reserves the right to cancel any booking at its discretion. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

5. Payment

• Rates are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
• Payment is due upon confirmation of your booking unless otherwise agreed.
• We accept major credit cards and electronic funds transfers (EFT).
• Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Confirmed bookings will honour the rate at the time of confirmation.

6. Guest Conduct & House Rules

• Guests are expected to behave in a respectful manner towards other guests, staff, and property.
• Noise must be kept to a minimum between 22:00 and 07:00.
• Smoking is not permitted indoors. Designated smoking areas are provided outside.
• Pets are not allowed on the premises unless prior arrangements have been made.
• Damage to property caused by a guest will be charged to that guest.
• Ekwandeni Guest House reserves the right to ask any guest to leave immediately if their behaviour is deemed unacceptable.

7. Liability

• Ekwandeni Guest House is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property while on the premises.
• Guests are responsible for their own belongings. We recommend using in-room safes where available.
• We are not responsible for any loss or damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

8. Website Use

• You agree not to use the website for any unlawful purpose.
• You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, its systems, or databases.
• All content on this website, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Ekwandeni Guest House and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our website and services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
